Starline 7.65mm Brass Casings – 100 Pieces

Starline Precision Ammunition Components is dedicated to maintaining the tightest manufacturing tolerances possible on every metallic case they produce. Each 7.65mm caliber brass casing is engineered with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring consistent dimensions and superior performance for reloaders and shooters alike.

All casings are manufactured strictly within SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute) specifications, guaranteeing compatibility and safety across a wide range of firearms chambered in 7.65mm. Additionally, Starline employs specialized heat treatment processes and proprietary case design enhancements to optimize the structural integrity, tensile strength, and longevity of each brass shell.

These are new, unfired, and unprimed brass casings, crafted from high-quality virgin brass to provide a clean and reliable platform for precision reloading. Prior to loading, it is recommended to trim the cases to the correct length and chamfer the case mouths to facilitate smooth bullet seating and prevent jacket damage.

Due to manufacturing tolerances and handling during shipping, the case mouths may occasionally exhibit slight out-of-round conditions. To ensure optimal bullet seating and consistent chambering, it is advisable to run the case mouths through an expander die. This process will re-round and slightly flare the case neck, allowing the projectile to be inserted effortlessly and securely.

Additionally, deburring the case mouths and removing any residual flash or burrs is essential to prevent bullet deformation and ensure reliable chambering and cycling in semi-automatic or manual firearms.

It is common to observe discoloration or spotting on the neck and body of new brass casings. This is a normal result of the annealing process performed by the manufacturer, which involves rapidly heating the brass to a precise temperature followed by rapid cooling. Annealing imparts the necessary hardness to the case body while maintaining neck flexibility, allowing the case to expand and contract during firing and resizing without cracking or splitting.

The visible stains are merely residues from this thermal treatment and do not affect the performance or structural integrity of the casings. Proper cleaning and polishing can be performed if desired before reloading.
