LEE 6.5 Carcano Caliber Die Set for Reloading and Precision Shooting
Die Lee Limited Production 2-Die Set for Caliber 6.5mm Carcano
This precision-engineered kit includes two high-grade steel dies specifically designed for the 6.5mm Carcano cartridge, optimized for metallic and semi-metallic reloading processes. Ideal for competitive shooters, hunters, and ballistic enthusiasts requiring reliable and consistent case resizing and bullet seating.
The set comprises the following components:
Full-Length Sizing Die: This die is engineered to fully recalibrate the cartridge case by removing the spent primer and slightly expanding the neck of the brass casing. This ensures optimal chamber fit and reliable feeding in bolt-action or semi-automatic rifles chambered in 6.5mm Carcano. Proper lubrication of the case is essential prior to resizing to prevent brass damage and ensure smooth die operation.
Bullet Seating Die: Adjustable for precise bullet seating depth, this die allows the reloader to set the projectile to the exact depth within the case neck, ensuring consistent overall cartridge length (COL) and optimal ballistic performance. Caution is advised during the seating process to avoid excessive case neck crimping, as the Carcano cartridge employs a distinctive roll crimp design which, if over-tightened, can deform the brass and impair cartridge integrity.
Shell Holder: A custom-fit shell holder compatible with standard reloading presses, designed to securely hold the 6.5mm Carcano case during resizing and seating operations, minimizing case movement and enhancing precision.
Powder Measure Tool: Included for accurate measurement of propellant charges, facilitating safe and consistent powder loading tailored to the 6.5mm Carcano cartridge specifications.
Reloading Data Chart: A comprehensive load data table is provided, detailing recommended powder types and charge weights. Please note that this chart does not include Spanish powder variants and should be cross-referenced with local reloading manuals for regional propellant options.
For optimal die performance and case longevity, it is imperative to apply a suitable case lubricant before the resizing process. This reduces friction, prevents case sticking, and extends the lifespan of both the brass and the dies.
