9mm Para Starline Nickel-Plated Brass Casings 100 Count
Starline Nickel-Plated Brass Cases, Caliber 9mm, Box of 100 Units (Bulk Packed)
Starline Precision Ammunition Components is committed to manufacturing cartridge cases with the tightest possible production tolerances, ensuring consistent dimensional accuracy and reliability for every metallic piece produced. Each case is engineered to meet or exceed SAAMI specifications, incorporating advanced thermal treatment processes and proprietary design enhancements to optimize structural integrity, tensile strength, and overall longevity under repeated firing and reloading cycles.
These 9mm brass cases are made from new, virgin brass material, free from any primer pockets or crimps, providing a clean slate for custom reloading. Prior to loading, it is essential to trim the case length to specification and chamfer the case mouth to facilitate smooth bullet seating and prevent jacket damage during the assembly process.
Due to manufacturing variances and transportation handling, the case mouths may exhibit slight out-of-round conditions. To ensure proper bullet alignment and reliable chambering, it is recommended to run the cases through a neck-expanding die. This operation will simultaneously round the case mouth and slightly flare it, allowing for easier projectile insertion and consistent neck tension. Additionally, any burrs or sharp edges should be carefully deburred to avoid bullet jacket deformation and ensure optimal ballistic performance.
Users may observe discoloration or spotting on the neck and body of these new brass cases. This is a normal byproduct of the annealing processa controlled heat treatment applied by the manufacturer involving rapid heating to a precise temperature followed by swift cooling. Annealing imparts the necessary hardness to securely hold the bullet while maintaining sufficient ductility to accommodate expansion and contraction during firing and resizing. The visible marks are residual effects of this thermal conditioning and do not affect the structural quality or performance of the cases.
