Paragon 7x25 GenIII BDC (SCRF-S24) - Vector Optics Laser Rangefinder

The Paragon 7x25 GenIII BDC (model SCRF-S24) is a digital laser rangefinder designed for hunting and precision shooting. It measures distances to various targets, presenting readings on an OLED display with scan mode, aimed at shooters and hunters needing fast long-range measurements.

Optically it provides 7x magnification with a 25 mm objective, fully multi-coated lenses, a 3.57 mm exit pupil and a 5.82° angular field of view. It uses 905 nm laser diodes and an OLED for readout. According to the manufacturer's specification, maximum range to highly reflective targets is 2400 yards (~2195 m); range to concrete buildings is listed as 2000 yards (~1829 m), to large trees 1600 yards (~1463 m) and to a deer 1100 yards (~1006 m). Response time is 0.1 s with an indicated accuracy of ±1 yd. Scan mode is available and the unit has an auto shutoff at 10 s.

The data sheet specifies CR2 battery type; it does not state whether the battery is included. Ballistics and tilt fields are marked N/A on the official sheet, so there is no confirmation of a ballistic solver or angle compensation.

The housing is plastic with rubber coating, rated IPX4 for splash resistance. Size is 118 x 76 x 42 mm and net weight 184 g. Package contents listed in the manufacturer sheet are: Soft Case, Cleaning Cloth, Instruction Manual, Sling, etc.; verify exact in-box contents on receipt.
