The Pallas Matrix Two shotgun is a precision-engineered firearm manufactured by Pallas Hamburg, a company renowned for delivering exceptional value through a balanced combination of quality and affordability. This model has established itself as a preferred choice among hunters and sport shooters who demand reliability, durability, and superior ballistic performance in a semi-automatic shotgun platform.
Chambered in 12 gauge with an inertial operating system, the Matrix Two is specifically designed to cycle 12/76mm (3-inch) magnum shotgun shells, providing enhanced power and versatility for a wide range of hunting and shooting applications. The inertial recoil-driven mechanism ensures consistent cycling with minimal maintenance, making it ideal for field conditions where reliability is paramount.
The shotgun features a 71 cm (27.9 inches) barrel length, optimized to deliver an effective range with reduced shot spread, which is critical for precision shooting at extended distances. This barrel length strikes a balance between maneuverability in dense environments and ballistic efficiency, allowing for tighter shot patterns and improved pellet energy retention downrange.
Constructed with a synthetic stock and fore-end, the Matrix Two offers exceptional resistance to environmental factors such as moisture, temperature fluctuations, and abrasive wear. The synthetic polymer materials used are lightweight yet robust, facilitating ease of handling during prolonged hunting sessions. Additionally, the stock is equipped with a rubber recoil pad designed to absorb and mitigate felt recoil, enhancing shooter comfort and control during rapid follow-up shots.
Magazine capacity is rated at 4+1 rounds, meaning the tubular magazine holds four shells with one additional round chambered, providing a total of five shots before requiring a reload. For compliance with hunting regulations, the shotgun includes a capacity limiter that restricts the magazine to two rounds, ensuring legal use in jurisdictions with cartridge limits. This feature allows hunters to adapt the firearm quickly without compromising operational readiness.
Overall, the Pallas Matrix Two is an outstanding semi-automatic shotgun tailored for both competitive clay target disciplines and diverse hunting scenarios. Its synthetic construction, combined with the powerful 12 gauge chambering and optimized barrel length, delivers a versatile and effective platform that meets the rigorous demands of modern shooters and reloaders alike.
Additional Technical Specifications:
- Approximate Weight: 3.1 kg (6.8 lbs)
- Total Length: 124 cm (48.8 inches)
- Stock Length of Pull: 36.5 cm (14.4 inches)
