Lee Die Set for .223 WSSM Reloading

Die Lee Limited Production 2-Die Set for Caliber .223 Winchester Super Short Magnum (WSSM).

This precision-engineered kit includes two high-quality steel dies specifically designed for the meticulous reloading and resizing of .223 WSSM cartridges, optimized for metallic and semi-metallic ammunition enthusiasts and competitive shooters alike.

The set comprises the following components:

Resizing Die: This die is engineered to fully resize the spent brass case, carefully removing the used primer and slightly expanding the neck of the case to ensure optimal bullet seating and consistent chambering. The resizing process is critical to maintain proper case dimensions and ensure reliable cycling in semi-automatic and bolt-action firearms.

Seating Die: Adjustable for precise bullet seating depth, this die allows the reloader to set the projectile at the exact depth required for optimal ballistic performance and pressure control. It also initiates the case neck crimping process, which must be applied with caution to avoid excessive crimping that can deform the brass case neck into a rolled edge, potentially compromising cartridge integrity and feeding reliability.

Shell Holder: A robust shell holder compatible with standard reloading presses, designed to securely hold the cartridge case during resizing and seating operations, ensuring consistent alignment and repeatability throughout the reloading cycle.

Powder Measure: Included for accurate and consistent powder charge dispensing, essential for maintaining safe pressure levels and achieving desired muzzle velocities.

Load Data Chart: Comprehensive load data is provided; however, it is important to note that the chart does not include Spanish powder variants. Reloaders should consult appropriate ballistic manuals or manufacturer data for region-specific powder recommendations.

For optimal die performance and to prevent brass case damage during resizing, it is imperative to apply a suitable case lubricant before the recalibration process. Proper lubrication reduces friction, minimizes case neck splitting, and extends the life of your brass inventory.
