Starline Brass Cases for Caliber 32/20 WCF Mauser – Bulk Pack of 100 Units

Starline Precision Ammunition Components is committed to manufacturing brass casings with the tightest possible tolerances, ensuring consistent performance and reliability for every round produced. Each cartridge case is engineered with meticulous attention to detail, adhering strictly to SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute) specifications to guarantee compatibility and safety across a wide range of firearms chambered in 32/20 Winchester Center Fire (WCF) Mauser.

All Starline brass casings undergo a specialized heat treatment process designed to enhance structural integrity and extend the service life of each case. This thermal treatment optimizes the metallurgical properties, increasing tensile strength and resilience to withstand repeated firing and reloading cycles without compromising dimensional stability.

These cases are manufactured from new, virgin brass with no primer pockets pre-primed, providing reloaders with a clean, unblemished foundation for custom handloading. Prior to seating bullets, it is recommended to trim and chamfer the case mouths to ensure uniform case length and facilitate smooth bullet seating, which is critical for maintaining consistent chamber pressures and ballistic performance.

Due to manufacturing tolerances and handling during transportation, the case mouths may not always maintain a perfectly round profile. To rectify this, reloaders should run the cases through an expander die or a neck-sizing die, which will restore the neck geometry by slightly expanding and rounding the case mouth. This step is essential to ensure reliable bullet seating and optimal neck tension, preventing bullet setback or inconsistent velocities.

Additionally, it is advisable to deburr and remove any residual flash or burrs from the case mouth after trimming to avoid damage to the bullet jacket and to promote smooth chambering. Proper case preparation is a fundamental aspect of precision handloading and contributes significantly to both accuracy and safety.

Occasionally, new brass cases may exhibit discoloration or spotting on the neck or body surfaces. This is a normal byproduct of the annealing process, wherein the brass is rapidly heated to a specific temperature and then quickly cooled. Annealing softens the brass in the neck and shoulder areas, providing the necessary ductility to securely hold the projectile while allowing the case to expand and contract during firing cycles without cracking or splitting.

These annealing marks are purely cosmetic and do not affect the structural integrity or performance of the cases. Reloaders can rest assured that each Starline case is optimized for durability, reloadability, and consistent ballistic results, making them an excellent choice for precision shooters and metallic reloaders specializing in semi-metallic cartridge components.
