Starline Brass Cases Caliber 44/40 Winchester Center Fire (WCF) – Bulk Pack of 100 Units

Starline Precision Ammunition Components is committed to manufacturing brass casings with the tightest production tolerances achievable, ensuring each metallic cartridge case meets rigorous dimensional and material standards essential for consistent ballistic performance.

All Starline 44/40 WCF brass cases are produced strictly within SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute) specifications, incorporating advanced heat treatment protocols and proprietary metallurgical designs that significantly enhance case strength, durability, and longevity under repeated firing and reloading cycles.

These are new, unfired, and unprimed brass casings, crafted from high-quality virgin brass to guarantee optimal malleability and corrosion resistance. Reloaders should perform trimming and chamfering operations prior to loading to ensure proper case length and smooth bullet seating, which are critical for maintaining safe chamber pressures and consistent accuracy.

Due to manufacturing tolerances and potential handling during shipment, case mouths may exhibit slight out-of-round conditions. To restore perfect concentricity and facilitate reliable bullet seating, it is highly recommended to size the case necks using an appropriate expander die. This process will also slightly flare the case mouth, allowing for easier projectile insertion and reducing the risk of bullet deformation.

Additionally, any burrs or sharp edges at the case mouth should be carefully deburred and chamfered before reloading to prevent bullet damage and ensure smooth chambering.

Reloaders may observe discoloration or spotting on the neck and body of these new brass cases. This is a normal result of the annealing process performed by the manufacturer, which involves rapidly heating the brass to a precise temperature followed by quick cooling. Annealing imparts the necessary hardness to securely hold the bullet while providing the flexibility required for case expansion and contraction during firing and resizing.

These surface marks are harmless residues from the annealing treatment and do not affect the structural integrity or performance of the brass cases.
