Caliber .44 Russian Starline Brass Cases - 100 Pieces
Starline Brass Cases for .44 Russian Caliber Bulk Pack of 100 Units
Starline Precision Ammunition Components is dedicated to manufacturing brass cases with the tightest possible tolerances, ensuring each metallic cartridge case meets rigorous industry standards for consistency and reliability in reloading and shooting applications.
All cases are produced strictly within SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute) specifications, incorporating advanced heat treatment processes and proprietary metallurgical designs to enhance both tensile strength and overall durability. This specialized thermal treatment optimizes the brass microstructure, providing superior resistance to deformation and extended case life under repeated firing and resizing cycles.
These are new, once-fired brass cases made from high-quality, virgin brass material, delivered without primers installed, ideal for custom handloading and precision reloading workflows.
Prior to loading, it is essential to trim the case length to specification and chamfer and deburr the case mouth to ensure smooth bullet seating and consistent chambering.
Due to manufacturing tolerances and handling during shipping, the case mouths may not always maintain a perfectly round profile. To guarantee optimal bullet seating and chamber fit, it is recommended to run the case mouths through an expander die. This step will re-round and slightly flare the case neck, facilitating easier bullet insertion and preventing bullet deformation during seating.
Additionally, inspect and remove any burrs or sharp edges from the case mouth to avoid damage to the projectile or seating die during reloading.
Users may observe discoloration or spotting on the neck and body of the new brass cases. This is a normal result of the annealing process performed by the manufacturer, which involves rapidly heating the brass to a precise temperature followed by quick cooling. This annealing treatment softens the neck area, providing the necessary ductility for proper bullet grip and allowing the case to expand and contract safely during firing and resizing operations.
The visible stains or color variations are harmless residues from this thermal process and do not affect the structural integrity or performance of the brass cases.
