20194

Starline 9mm Parabellum Brass Cases, Bulk Pack of 100 Units

Starline Precision Ammunition Components is committed to maintaining the tightest manufacturing tolerances possible on every metallic cartridge case they produce. Each brass case is engineered with exacting standards to ensure consistent chambering, reliable feeding, and optimal ballistic performance for competitive shooting, tactical applications, and precision reloading.

All Starline 9mm Luger brass cases are manufactured within SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute) specifications, guaranteeing compatibility and safety across a wide range of firearms chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. The cases undergo specialized heat treatment processes designed to enhance tensile strength, improve case longevity, and resist deformation under repeated firing and resizing cycles.

These cases are made from new, virgin brass with no primer pockets or flash holes pre-primed, allowing reloaders full control over primer selection and seating. Prior to loading, it is recommended to trim the cases to the proper length and chamfer and deburr the case mouth to ensure smooth bullet seating and consistent crimping.

Due to manufacturing tolerances and handling during shipping, case mouths may not always be perfectly concentric or round. To achieve optimal bullet alignment and seating, it is advised to run the case mouth through a dedicated expanding die or neck sizing die. This process will re-round the mouth, slightly flare the neck for easier bullet insertion, and remove any burrs or sharp edges that could damage projectiles or affect accuracy.

Reloaders may notice discoloration or spotting on the neck and body of these new brass cases. This is a normal result of the annealing process performed by the manufacturer, which involves rapidly heating the brass to a precise temperature followed by quick cooling. Annealing softens the neck and shoulder area, providing the necessary ductility to securely hold the bullet while allowing the case to expand and contract during firing and resizing without cracking or splitting.

The visible stains or oxidation marks are harmless residues from this thermal treatment and do not affect the structural integrity or performance of the brass. Proper cleaning and preparation before reloading will ensure reliable ignition and consistent ballistic results.
