Description

Optics and image quality

The Thrive HD 2.5-15x50 features high-definition glass engineered to deliver crisp images and strong contrast across the zoom range. The 50 mm objective maximizes light gathering for improved visibility at dawn, dusk and other low-light conditions.

FMC lens coatings combined with a Weathershield treatment reduce reflections and preserve clarity, supporting an effective light transmission of 92% for faster target identification in complex environments.

PHR II illuminated reticle and accuracy

Reticle design and aiming aids

The illuminated PHR II reticle centers on a floating dot that provides a precise impact reference without obscuring the target. A thin lower post at 6 o'clock offers discreet hold points for elevation when engaging targets at varying distances.

Predefined elevation marks at 1.1, 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 MOA facilitate quick field compensation for different loads and conditions without constant turret adjustments.

Mechanical adjustments and turrets

Capped turrets with 0.25 MOA clicks deliver repeatable, fine adjustments. Turret lock features prevent accidental shifts during transport or rigorous field use.

Internal elevation and windage travel of 70 MOA each accommodate ballistic tuning for typical hunting scenarios and allow configuration to match rifle and ammunition combinations.

Construction and durability

The main tube is built from 6061-T6 alloy with a 30 mm diameter for increased rigidity and stable ring mounting. Robust construction maintains alignment after moderate impacts and supports reliable performance in demanding environments.

IPX7 water resistance and protective coatings defend against rain, dust and moisture. Included HD alloy flip-up covers and a locking tool keep the lenses protected during transport and storage.

Field use and performance

Designed for big game hunting and mixed terrain such as open country and thick cover, the Thrive HD excels in low-light scenarios thanks to its objective size and high transmission. The 2.5–15x zoom range adapts quickly from close shots to longer engagements.

The combination of an illuminated reticle, precise adjustments and a durable chassis makes this scope suitable for backcountry hunts and woodland stalking where rapid target acquisition and reliability are critical.

Frequently asked questions

What hunting situations is this scope best suited for?

The Thrive HD is optimized for big game and backcountry hunting where reach and low-light capability matter. The 2.5–15x range allows rapid transitions between short and medium shots.

Its illuminated reticle and high transmission improve target acquisition during dawn and dusk, making it well suited for hunts that span changing light conditions.

What advantages does a 30 mm tube provide?

A 30 mm tube increases structural rigidity and provides greater internal adjustment range, which supports stable mounting and long-term durability under intensive use.

The sturdier tube construction also helps maintain optical alignment after impacts and preserves turret accuracy over time.

How does the PHR II reticle assist with elevation corrections?

The PHR II features a floating central dot and a slim lower post that enable discreet elevation holds without obscuring the target. Pre-marked MOA reference points serve as practical guides for compensating bullet drop at varying distances.

This layout benefits shooters who prefer quick holds in the field as well as those who combine visual holds with mechanical adjustments during dynamic engagements.
