Remington Brass Case Caliber .45 Long Colt

Box containing 100 units (Bulk packaging)

Remington brass cases are precision-engineered from a specialized brass alloy, meticulously crafted to ensure consistent internal volume and superior resistance to stretching and brittleness, critical factors for reliable metallic and semi-metallic reloading applications.

The annealed neck treatment facilitates easier case expansion during bullet seating, significantly enhancing the lifespan and performance consistency of each reload cycle.

Remington rigorously maintains production tolerances to the tightest possible specifications, ensuring each brass case meets exacting dimensional and metallurgical standards required by competitive shooting and hunting disciplines.

All cases are manufactured within SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute) specifications and incorporate specialized heat treatment processes and design optimizations to maximize structural integrity and durability under repeated firing and reloading conditions.

These are new, unfired brass cases with no primer pockets pre-primed, providing reloaders with a clean slate for custom priming and powder charges.

It is recommended to trim and chamfer the case mouths prior to loading to ensure optimal bullet seating and consistent ballistic performance.

Due to manufacturing tolerances and transportation handling, case mouths may exhibit slight deviations from perfect roundness.

To guarantee a perfectly round case mouth, it is advisable to size the cases using an expander die, which will simultaneously round and slightly flare the neck, facilitating smooth bullet insertion. Additionally, deburring and removing any residual flash from the case mouth is essential before loading to prevent bullet deformation and ensure reliable chambering.

Notes:

New brass cases may display discoloration or spotting on both the neck and body areas.

This is a normal result of the annealing process performed by the manufacturer, involving rapid heating to a precise temperature followed by swift cooling.

The annealing process imparts the necessary hardness to securely hold the projectile while providing the flexibility required for case expansion and contraction during firing and repeated resizing.

Any visible spotting or residue is a harmless byproduct of this heat treatment and does not affect the performance or longevity of the brass cases.
