Description
What it is and what it does
The Conotech Avata 335 is a thermal clip-on designed to be mounted in front of a day scope to provide thermal imaging without the need to re-zero the sight. It can operate as a clip-on or as a monocular and features an automatic magnetic mounting system for fast attachment.
Key features
It uses an uncooled VOx detector with a resolution of 384×288 pixels and a 12 m pixel pitch; the frame rate is 50 Hz and NETD is under 15 mK. The objective lens is 35 mm and the field of view at 100 m is about 13.16 × 9.87 m. Offers digital zoom at 1×, 2× and 4×, an OLED display with internal resolution 1024×768 and 64 GB internal memory. External video via Wi-Fi. Power is provided by two removable 18500 batteries and an external 5 V USB-C input; run time at 22 °C is approximately 7 hours.
Compatibility and mounting
Engineered to fit in front of day scopes as a clip-on with a dedicated zeroing profile. The magnetic quick-mount system allows attachment without recalibration. The manufacturer rates it for recoil up to the calibres listed and specifies 7000 J shock resistance. Environmental protection rating IP67.
