Vector Optics Grizzly 3-12x56 SCOM-09

The Vector Optics Grizzly 3-12x56 (SCOM-09) is a riflescope the manufacturer rates for hunting, including driving and varmint hunting. It provides 3–12x magnification and a 56 mm objective lens to improve light gathering in low-light situations.

The scope features a 30 mm monotube made from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with a matte black finish. Optics are fully multi-coated (FMC) with edge-to-edge imaging and an etched glass German #4 reticle on the second focal plane (SFP). Parallax is set at 100 yards; the linear field of view is 36.7–9.2 ft @100 yd (12.23–3.06 m @100 m). Eye relief is approximately 105–100 mm (4.1–3.9 in).

Windage and elevation adjust in 1/4 MOA clicks with more than 60 MOA adjustment range per axis. Illumination is red and the manufacturer indicates a CR2032 battery for the illumination circuit; note there is a discrepancy in official sources about the number of illumination levels (product page states 11 levels, the user manual describes 6 levels). The scope is nitrogen-filled and rated IPX6; impact resistance is specified as 1000 G. Length is 326 mm and weight about 700 g.

Package contents listed by the manufacturer include a pair of 30 mm Weaver scope rings, flip-up lens caps, a cleaning cloth and the instruction manual. The manual also contains mounting and zeroing instructions and recommended torque values for rings and bases (consult the manual shipped with the unit for exact figures). The manufacturer does not specify maximum calibers in the technical sheet; user reviews on the manufacturer site mention use with powerful calibers, but that is not an official specification.
