LEE 6-Cavity Bullet Mold specifically engineered for precision casting of .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and .38 Colt New Police caliber projectiles. This mold is designed to produce high-quality, consistent bullets optimized for metallic and semi-metallic reloading applications.

Featuring a diameter of .358 inches, this mold casts 158-grain Semi-Wadcutter (SWC) bullets, ideal for target shooting, self-defense, and competitive shooting disciplines. The bullet design offers a ballistic coefficient of approximately 0.117, providing stable flight characteristics and reliable terminal performance.

Compatible with popular handgun calibers including .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and .38 Colt New Police, this mold supports versatile reloading needs for handloaders focused on accuracy and efficiency.

Constructed from high-grade aluminum alloy with steel bushings, the mold block ensures exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. Precision alignment pins maintain perfect cavity registration during casting, minimizing flash and ensuring uniform bullet dimensions.

Aluminum construction offers superior thermal conductivity compared to traditional iron molds, resulting in faster heat-up and cool-down cycles. This thermal efficiency accelerates the casting process, allowing reloaders to achieve optimal molten lead temperature quickly and maintain consistent bullet quality throughout extended casting sessions.

Additionally, the lightweight aluminum design reduces operator fatigue during prolonged use, enhancing comfort and control when handling the mold.

The two aluminum halves are securely clamped together using bullet mold handles (not included), preventing any movement or misalignment while pouring molten lead. This stability is critical for producing bullets with clean, precise edges and minimal casting defects.

Equipped with an anodized, extra-hard sprue plate and cutter, the mold facilitates a clean and efficient separation of the bullet from the sprue. This feature ensures a smooth, complete cut, reducing the need for post-casting cleanup and improving overall bullet finish.

Note that bullet weights may vary slightly depending on the specific lead alloy and casting conditions used, so handloaders should verify projectile weight and dimensions before finalizing load data.

Bullet mold handles for opening and closing the mold are sold separately under reference number 90005. It is highly recommended to use proper handles to ensure safe and effective mold operation.

Prior to initial use, thoroughly degrease the mold to remove any manufacturing residues. It is also advisable to season the mold by applying a recommended mold release agent or by smoking the cavities to enhance bullet release and extend mold life.

Never lubricate the interior cavity surfaces, as this can negatively affect bullet quality and mold longevity.

Lightly lubricate the sprue plate retaining screw to maintain smooth operation and prevent seizing during repeated casting cycles.
