Mold TL358-125-RF for Precision Reloading and Shooting

90574

LEE TL 2-Cavity Mold specifically engineered for .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and .38 Colt New Police calibers, designed to deliver precision and consistency in bullet casting for metallic and semi-metallic reloading applications.

This mold produces .358 diameter, 125-grain round flat nose (RF) bullets optimized for high-performance shooting and reliable terminal ballistics in the .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and .38 Colt New Police cartridges.

Featuring a ballistic coefficient (BC) of .116, these bullets offer a balanced trajectory and energy retention suitable for both target shooting and defensive purposes.

LEE’s 2-cavity molds are a preferred choice among precision reloaders and ballistic enthusiasts seeking a high-quality casting solution at a competitive price point, ensuring repeatable bullet dimensions and weight uniformity.

Constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminum blocks, these molds provide superior thermal conductivity compared to traditional iron or steel molds, allowing for faster heat-up and cool-down cycles during casting sessions.

The aluminum construction also reduces overall mold weight by approximately two-thirds relative to iron or steel counterparts, minimizing operator fatigue during extended bullet production runs.

Each mold half is securely clamped with durable wooden-handled tongs, guaranteeing zero movement or misalignment during the molten lead pouring process, which is critical for maintaining bullet integrity and dimensional accuracy.

Note that final bullet weights may vary slightly depending on the specific lead alloy composition and casting temperature employed by the reloader.

The included tongs feature ergonomic wooden grips for comfortable handling and enhanced safety when working with molten metals.

An integrated sprue cutter blade efficiently severs the lead feeder channel, facilitating clean release of the finished projectiles and reducing post-cast cleanup time.

For optimal mold longevity and bullet quality, it is highly recommended to thoroughly degrease the mold prior to initial use, followed by seasoning with smoke or a manufacturer-approved mold treatment product to prevent lead adhesion.

Under no circumstances should the interior cavity of the mold be lubricated, as this can negatively impact bullet surface finish and mold performance.

Light lubrication of the sprue cutter retaining screw is advised to ensure smooth operation and prevent corrosion buildup over time.
