.350 Caliber Bullet Mold

90415

LEE Bullet Mold featuring 2 cavities designed for casting .350 caliber spherical projectiles, ideal for precision muzzleloading firearms and metallic cartridge hunting applications.

This mold is engineered for high-volume production of lead and lead-alloy cast bullets, ensuring consistent weight and dimensional accuracy critical for ballistic performance in hunting and target shooting scenarios.

Constructed from a robust aluminum block reinforced with steel bushings, the mold incorporates precision alignment pins that guarantee perfect cavity alignment to minimize flash and ensure uniform projectile shape. The corrosion-resistant materials extend the mold’s service life under rigorous casting conditions.

Aluminum molds offer superior thermal conductivity compared to traditional iron molds, enabling faster heat-up and cool-down cycles. This thermal efficiency allows the caster to reach and maintain optimal melting temperatures more rapidly, significantly increasing throughput during extended casting sessions.

Additionally, the aluminum construction reduces the mold’s weight by approximately one-third relative to iron counterparts, minimizing operator fatigue during prolonged use and enhancing handling ergonomics.

The dual aluminum blocks are securely clamped together using specialized tongs, preventing any lateral or vertical movement while pouring molten lead or lead alloys. This stability is essential for achieving precise bullet dimensions and reducing casting defects.

Equipped with an anodized, extra-hard sprue plate that functions as a pour cup, sprue cutter, and flash remover, this mold ensures a clean, complete cut of the projectile sprue, optimizing bullet finish and reducing post-casting cleanup time.

Note that bullet weights may vary slightly depending on the specific alloy composition and casting parameters employed.

The set includes high-quality tongs designed specifically for opening and closing the mold safely and efficiently.

For optimal performance and mold longevity, it is recommended to thoroughly degrease the mold prior to initial use. Additionally, seasoning the mold by smoking or applying a manufacturer-recommended mold release agent can enhance bullet release and reduce sticking.

Never apply grease or lubricant to the interior cavity surfaces, as this can cause casting defects and compromise bullet integrity.

Lightly lubricate the sprue plate retention screw to ensure smooth operation and prevent seizing during repeated use.
