What it is and what it is for
The Vector Optics Continental x8 6-48x56 ED MOA (SCOL-TE52) is a riflescope designed for precision shooting and competition uses such as benchrest, field target and F-Class. It provides very high magnification for long-range precision and tactical adjustments.

Key features
Magnification ranges from 6 to 48x and the objective diameter is 56 mm. The scope has a 30 mm main tube and a total length of 403 mm. Eye relief is 95 mm. Linear field of view at 100 yd is 20.5–2.57 ft (6.8–0.85 m @100 m). It is a second focal plane (SFP) optic. The manufacturer specifies ED glass and German Schott HT with LaREE Lens & VePRO FMC coatings and light transmission greater than 93%.

Adjustments and reticle
The scope uses the VCO-6 MOA reticle, with an etched central dot of 0.1 MOA and a 2 MOA circle; subtensions are valid at 40x. The central reticle is illuminated with 11 gear positions (On/Off) powered by a CR2032 battery. Click value is 1/8 MOA and elevation/windage adjustment range is 48 MOA each; the turrets feature a Zero Stop. Side focus/parallax adjustment covers 10 yards to infinity, and diopter compensation is -3 to +2.

Durability and reliability
The tube is 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with a matte black finish. It is nitrogen-filled to prevent fogging, rated IP67 (submersible to 1 m for 30 minutes as stated by the manufacturer) and has a declared shock resistance of 1000 G. Declared weight is 807 g.

Compatibility
No single caliber is specified. The manufacturer notes the VCO-6 reticle “could be used as BDC for .223 and .308 bullet under 40X.” For mounting, note the 30 mm tube diameter when selecting rings or mounts.
