Mold 311-93-1R for Precision Hunting Reloading and Shooting

90300

LEE 2-Cavity Bullet Mold for .32 Caliber Reloading Applications.

This precision-engineered mold features a .311 inch diameter, producing 93-grain ogival 1-R bullets specifically designed for cartridges such as .32-20 Winchester Center Fire (WCF), .32 Smith & Wesson Long, and .32 Colt. The bullet design ensures optimal performance and reliable accuracy for both target shooting and hunting scenarios.

With a ballistic coefficient of .125, these projectiles offer a balanced trajectory and consistent downrange energy retention, making them suitable for a wide range of shooting disciplines.

LEE’s 2-cavity molds are highly regarded among metallic reloaders who demand a durable, cost-effective solution without compromising on quality. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant aluminum blocks, these molds provide excellent thermal conductivity, allowing for faster heating and cooling cycles compared to traditional iron or steel molds.

The aluminum construction not only enhances thermal efficiency but also reduces overall weight by approximately one-third relative to iron or steel molds, minimizing operator fatigue during extended casting sessions.

Each mold half is securely clamped using robust wooden-handled tongs, ensuring zero movement during the casting process. This tight closure guarantees uniform bullet dimensions and prevents lead leakage, resulting in consistently high-quality projectiles.

Note that the indicated bullet weights may vary slightly depending on the specific lead alloy composition used during casting, as alloy density influences final mass.

The included tongs feature ergonomic wooden grips for comfortable handling and incorporate an integrated sprue cutter blade. This sprue cutter functions as a lead feeder, facilitating clean separation of finished bullets from the mold and streamlining the casting workflow.

For optimal mold longevity and bullet quality, it is strongly recommended to thoroughly degrease the mold prior to initial use. Additionally, seasoning the mold with smoke or applying a manufacturer-approved mold treatment product helps prevent lead adhesion and extends mold life.

Under no circumstances should the interior cavity of the mold be lubricated, as this can degrade bullet surface finish and dimensional accuracy.

Light lubrication of the sprue cutter retaining screw is advised to maintain smooth operation and prevent corrosion.
