6 Cavity 358-105-SWC Bullet Mold (Molds Only, Tongs Not Included)

90315

LEE Cast Bullet Mold featuring 6 precision-machined cavities designed specifically for popular handgun calibers such as .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and .38 Colt New Police. This mold is engineered for reloaders and ballistic enthusiasts seeking consistent, high-quality projectiles optimized for semi-metallic and metallic casting processes.

The mold produces semi-wadcutter bullets with a diameter of .358 inches and an approximate weight of 105 grains, ideal for target shooting, self-defense, and competitive applications. These bullets exhibit a ballistic coefficient (BC) of approximately 0.106, providing reliable external ballistics performance for medium-range engagements.

Manufactured from durable aluminum alloy blocks fitted with corrosion-resistant steel bushings and precision alignment pins, this mold ensures exact cavity alignment and long-term dimensional stability. Aluminum construction offers superior thermal conductivity compared to traditional iron molds, allowing for faster heat-up and cooldown cycles, which significantly improves casting throughput and efficiency during extended reloading sessions.

Weighing roughly one-third less than equivalent iron molds, this design reduces operator fatigue during repetitive casting operations. The dual aluminum blocks are securely clamped using specialized mold handles (not included), preventing any unwanted movement or misalignment when pouring molten lead or lead alloys into the cavities.

Equipped with an anodized, extra-hard sprue plate featuring an integrated pour basin and cutter, the mold facilitates clean, precise trimming of cast bullets, eliminating excess sprue material for optimal projectile uniformity and weight consistency. Note that actual bullet weights may vary slightly depending on the specific lead or lead alloy composition used during casting.

Mold handles for opening and closing the mold are sold separately under reference number 90005. For best results, thoroughly degrease the mold prior to initial use and consider seasoning it by smoking or applying a mold release agent specifically formulated for bullet molds. Avoid applying grease or lubricants inside the mold cavities to prevent casting defects.

It is recommended to lightly lubricate the sprue plate retaining screw to maintain smooth operation and prevent corrosion. This LEE bullet mold is an essential tool for precision bullet casting, offering reloaders a reliable, high-performance solution for producing semi-metallic and metallic projectiles tailored to classic revolver calibers.
