What it is and what it is for
The Avata 635 is a thermal clip-on designed to be mounted in front of a day optic to provide thermal imaging for hunting, surveillance, search & rescue and professional applications. It enables a daytime riflescope to deliver thermal imagery without removing the host optic.
Key characteristics
It features an uncooled VOx detector with a 640 × 512 pixel array, 12 m pixel pitch and 814 m spectral band; the technical documentation indicates NETD below 20 mK. Optics are 35 mm with a base magnification of 1×, giving a field of view at 100 m of 22 × 17.5 m and a close focus from 2 m. Weight without batteries is 450 g and dimensions are 67 × 70 × 145 mm. Power is by two removable 18500 cells and external 5 V USB-C input; runtime at 22 °C is about 7 hours. The unit includes 64 GB internal memory, an OLED display, photo/video/audio recording, Wi-Fi streaming and firmware update via app.
