What it is and what it's for

The Continental x8 1-8x24 ED Fiber (model SCOC-51) from Vector Optics is a Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) aimed at plain game and driven hunting and tactical shooting. It is designed as a quick-acquisition scope with a bright central dot for fast target engagement.

It offers 1–8× magnification and a 24 mm objective. The reticle is a German #4 located on the second focal plane (SFP) with an illuminated fiber center dot and 11 intensity levels controlled by an On/Off switch; illumination uses a CR2032 battery (the product sheet does not state whether the battery is supplied). The housing is 6061-T6 aluminum, matte black finish, nitrogen-filled (fogproof), rated IP67 (submersible to 1 m for 30 minutes) and specified shockproof to 1000 G.
